This completes my USS Yorktown Hanger scene. I want to give thanks to Steelrazer for his hand painted textures for the Epic low poly figures which gives some life to an otherwise static scene.
The work is made up using my mid section of the Yorktown model, and my radial engine. I have taken the Grumman Wildcat model and cut the wings off at their pivot point and rotated them around for the scene. I have also modeled a number of other items.. stools, welding torch system, tables and hoses, pulleys, duct work and piping to add a bit more detail to this.
The render took 3 hrs on an old MacPro in Vue 9.5. I have taken about a week full time creating and composing the scene over the holidays.
A few people have asked if I would sell the Wildcat model. Since it is not my model, I can only sell my rework if you have the model already. I'll have to look up the particulars.. I think there are a number of versions out there. I still have some details to do. It would be a Vue and Obj version only, so contact me if you are one of those interested. Again, you will have to own the original model that I used before I will sell my rework.
I have enjoyed this effort more then others and look forward to a future flight deck battle scene.
